In this episode, I turn the mic on myself... Issy sits down with me to unpack where my drive really comes from, starting with the day everything changed. I was 7 years old, standing at the end of a hospital bed, watching my dad on life support. That moment became the reference point for everything after it. Growing up with a single mum and real financial pressure taught me to associate safety and security with hard-won effort, and it pushed me into a kind of survival mode I didn't fully understand until much later. We talk about how that early loss shaped my ambition, why I've spent years chasing personal development (from Tony Robbins seminars to mentors who became like family) and the health struggles (physical and otherwise) that came from carrying stress I never really processed as a kid. It's not the usual podcast format, and it's a bit more exposed than I'm used to, but if any part of my journey helps you make sense of your own, then it's done its job. Let me know in the comments if you want more episodes like this. Just me, my story, my takes. Happy to keep going deeper if there's interest.
